“This geometric abstraction wall sculpture features forms that play with depth, light, and shadow. Its juxtaposition of industrial and natural aesthetics creates a harmonious balance between organic and geometric elements, while its three-dimensionality adds depth and subtle movement as light shifts across the surface.” —Dean Wilder

Back in June 2020, I was exploring continuous line drawings. I’ve always been fascinated by the line work of Picasso, Matisse, and contemporary designers like George Bokhua. Their ability to express so much with a single unbroken line is endlessly inspiring.

I wanted to bring this approach into my abstract art. What emerged were several rough compositions that I envisioned not just as infinite line drawings, but as interlocking, three-dimensional shapes that created a continuous visual flow throughout the piece.

The real challenge was translating this vision into a finished work. At the time, I didn’t have the right materials to bring my ideas to life. I experimented with different approaches, but nothing quite matched what I had in mind.
I’ve always loved the look of rusted metal. Its warm, textured patina brings an industrial feel that contrasts beautifully with natural elements. Inspired by traditional metal sculptures, my Infinity Line series reimagines those forms using wood as a base medium to explore shape, texture, and form.
Each piece is meticulously hand-cut, assembled, and finished with layers of lacquer and wax. The result is a harmonious blend of organic and geometric elements, brought to life with depth, light, and shadow.
